  • Fort National: built by the military architect Vauban in 1689 on the top of the island, linked to the coast by a strip of land which disappears at high tide

From Monday to Friday (weekend dates are only available for groups with a minimum of 8 adults). The Fort National is closed on Tuesdays

  • Vannes’ origin: a town with a Mediterranean microclimate founded over 2000 years ago

  • Guided tour of the old town centre featuring medieval houses, also called maisons à colombages, Henri IV square and St Peter’s Cathedral

  • Walk along the medieval ramparts and view the Ramparts’ Gardens bordering the Marle river

  • Tour of the lively port, the main inland harbour of the Gulf of Morbihan
